Our Story
We are a family owned business that was founded in 1978. John and June Bailey started a small pig farm in Turlock, California which is a farming community known as Mountain View. Their passion and commitment to raising a pig that provided a safe, wholesome and nutritious product certainly paved their way in expanding the pig farm. For the past 40 years our family has been raising pigs. We are directly involved in every stage of the pigs life. We care about our pigs and take pride in their well being to provide a superior pork product from our family to yours. In 2018 the family started Mountain View Pork, which is a local pork, bred, born and raised right here in Turlock, California. We are sell our pork directly to consumers.

Growing up and working with pigs I always knew that I wanted to be a pig farmer. My love for animals and their well being sparked my passion as a career in the pork industry. I was able to attend Iowa State University where I earned my Bachelor of Science In Agricultural Studies. My studies and degree focused on Animal Science, Nutrition, Animal Health, Meat Science and Animal breeding and selection. I was able to bring back my educational and hands on experiences to the family farm. I am proud to say I am a 3rd generation pig farmer. I am blessed to work alongside my husband as we take care of the pigs everyday and raise our three children on the pig farm. As a mother of three small children, feeding our kids a safe, healthy and nutritional pork product is important and I have the same standards in providing our customers the same experience.
